The Nubian Heritage Association participated in the South Festival

The Nubian Heritage Association participated in the South Festival organized by the Syndicate of Fine Artists on Friday, December 12. The association’s participation included a remarkable performance by the “Nuba Noor” troupe, which presented the traditional groom’s procession in the syndicate’s garden. Additionally, a group of women members of the association showcased handmade heritage crafts reflecting the authenticity of Nubian culture. At the conclusion of the event, the association was honored with a certificate of appreciation, received by Mr. Hamdy Hassan, Secretary-General of the Nubian Heritage Association.

Participation of the Heritage Society in the Committee for Equitable Geographical Balance during the 19th UNESCO Conference in Asuncion, Paraguay 2024:

During the UNESCO 19 conference in Asunción, Paraguay, Mr. Adel Moussa, Director of the Nubian Heritage Association, delivered a lecture on the activities of the Nubian Heritage Association as part of an event organized by the Fair Geographical Representation Committee, chaired by Mr.Alain Muneean. The committee presented its goals of creating equitable opportunities for NGOs in developing countries, similar to those in more advanced nations that benefit from greater access and resources.
The presentation and discussions received widespread admiration from the attendees, most of whom were members of the General Committee of UNESCO, including its former chair, Professor Robert Baron, as well as Professor Sekou Berte, a former member of the General Committee, and current members such as Mr. Gustavo Caicedo and Mr. Matti Hakamäki.
The Nubian Heritage Association was highlighted as an example of active and long-standing NGOs in developing countries, showcasing the vital role they play in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
